As the 2021 Supercross Season made its way to Florida, a massive storm was hitting almost every state in the U.S. In the days leading up to the first Orlando round the Florida skies opened and poured down rain; our first threat of a mudder all season. Luckily, the Dirt Werks crew had the track covered in time and were able to filter away the access water keeping the track mostly dry and race day ready.
Orlando #1 (round 6): This was the last 250SX East Coast Race until the series heads to SLC in April and Kevin Moranz came out ready to FLY. Qualifying 14th during the day, Moranz made his way into heat #1 where he secured another top finish (4th place). Kevin is proving he deserves a place in the 250SX Main Events and this week he secured a career best 7th place finish. In typical Kevin Moranz fashion, he is not going to simply go back to a normal training regime, instead, he is going to stay in racing condition by competing in the upcoming 450SX rounds.
Orlando #2 (round 7): Orlando marks the first residency of the season where two difference 250SX Coasts are hosted back to back. Round #2 launched the 250SX West Coast Series with a stacked class of 60 riders coming out to make their mark. For the first time this year, the TPJ Racing Team Truck was full; 4 new riders joined the Kevin Moranz in the ranks.
Matt Hubert, Mason Wharton, Corbin Hayes and Blaine Silveira each chose to race in the West Coast Series in the 250SX class. Each rider had some bad luck and an unfortunate series of events kept each of them on the sidelines during the night program. They are all eager to arrive at Daytona ready to show their speed and determination.
Thank you to our sponsors for the continued support of Team TPJ Racing.
