Justin Rodbell splits his time between two jobs. During the work week, the 20-year-old installs heating and cooling systems in the Northeast. On the weekends, he travels the country to line up for Supercross and Pro Motocross every weekend with the support of the SGB/Maxxis Tires/Babbitt’s/Kawasaki team in the 450 Class. The 2020 season put Rodbell on everyone’s radar, as he earned him a respectable two-digit number from the AMA (57) and became a fan-favorite. A lifelong fan of the sport, Rodbell admits that it’s surreal to line up beside multi-time champions on the gate, but it doesn’t stop him from showing them an elbow when they head into the first turn. We sat down with Rodbell on the tailgate of his U-Haul pick-up truck, a cost-effective rental for a privateer, ahead of the 2021 Washougal Motocross.
