Round 10 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is in the books. Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, IN has only been on the circuit since 2015, but it’s quickly becoming a fan favorite.

Derek Kelley #73 – returned to racing this weekend after suffering a concussion in Washougal that sidelined him for a few weeks. Ironman was another tough round for Kelley, but he made the best of a tough situation and pushed through the day. In his words: “…I had a great start going into the first corner in Moto 1 but unfortunately I ended up going down. I made it back up to 24th with a couple of tip overs and had some good lap times with a broken throttle housing. Moto 2 was going good, and I moved up into 15th on lap 6 and I was starting to find my flow when my rear tube popped on the face of the big jump which almost got ugly”. We’re happy to have Derek back to racing and look forward to seeing how he finished out this season at the final two rounds.

Matt Hubert #647 – had another top 30 finish at Ironman by way of a 29th and 27th in Motos 1 & 2 respectively. I reached out to Matt, and here’s what he had to say about the day: “This season hasn’t gone the way I’ve wanted it to, but I’ve been making improvements behind the scenes, it has made my results kind of sporadic though. The weekend was tough as the heat got to me both motos. Other than that, I had fun on the track and catching up with some good friends that came to the race. Not a bad weekend, but not great either.”. Of the 10 races so far this season, Hubert has qualified for 9 of them and sat out one early on due to a crash/recovery needed. His best overall finish has been 28th, while his best Moto finish is 22nd (Washougal). Matt is looking forward to ending this season on a better note.
