SUPERCROSS – MINNEAPOLIS – TPJ RACING – RACE REPORT

From TPJ Racing

U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN hosted round 7 of the Monster Energy Supercross Series and was home to the first 250SX East Coast race of the season. TPJ Racing has welcomed back Lane Shaw #89 for another year under our umbrella. We are excited to see him progress through the season and gain those crucial championship points. From having no Fan Fest to an earlier start time, this race was unique and, in some ways, offered a disadvantage to the riders. A huge part of this sport is the comradery and fan involvement during qualifying, at this round that was void; and it showed in some performances.

Lane Shaw #89 is no stranger to Supercross or the TPJ Racing team. United again for the 2022 season, Lane is excited to put his KTM 250 SX-F on the starting line and battle it out with the field to earn some Championship points. History: Lane’s Supercross career best finish was a 12th place in Indianapolis in 2021. During Lane’s qualifying session in MN, there was a red cross flag out, meaning the riders are to roll all jumps in that section, failure to do so will result in loss of fastest lap time. Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened to Lane, and he saw his hopes of lining up for the night show diminish.

After a regrettable weekend, Lane is ready to put round 1 behind him and looks forward to Dallas this coming weekend. He knows he has the speed needed to be in the Main Event but will continue to work on his starts and endurance during this week. He would like to thank all his sponsors for the support and encouragement.
