RE: COMPETITION BULLETIN 2022-3: Clarification of Designation of Eligible Alternates
Section 2.14.h. of the 2022 Rules for Professional Motocross Competition – Race Rules and Procedures – Qualifying, designates the number of Alternates eligible to compete in Moto 1 and Moto 2. For purposes of clarification, the rule has been amended. For convenience, significant chances are noted in red.
- Six (6) Alternates will be designated from the results of the Consolation Race (i.e., positions 5 through 10). These riders may keep their transponders until the start of Moto 2 in the event they are placed into the program. All other non-qualifying riders must return their transponders upon completion of the Consolation Race and are no longer eligible to compete in the event. Seeded or qualified riders who fail to report to the Start Gate in either Moto 1 or Moto 2 may be replaced by an Alternate at the sole discretion of the Race Director. Once a rider is replaced by an Alternate, they are no longer eligible to compete in the event.
