FMF PRIVATEER POWER AWARD: 2022 HANGTOWN CLASSIC – Marshal Weltin

Through two rounds of competition in the 2022 season, Michigan’s Marshal Weltin has emerged as one of the biggest surprises in the 450 Class. While the summer did not begin the way the GASGAS rider would have hoped, with a 38th in the first moto of the season, he’s been a fixture inside the top 20 ever since, which culminated in an impressive outing at the Carson City Motorsports Hangtown Motocross Classic. Weltin took a step forward in consistency and was in contention for a spot in the top 15 in both motos, wrapping up the afternoon with 16-15 moto scores to equal the best result of his career in 15th overall. By virtue of his landmark performance, Weltin became the easy choice to receive the FMF Privateer Power Award for Hangtown.

Hangtown Motocross Classic:
#285 Marshal Weltin / Ubly, Michigan / GASGAS
450 Class: 15th overall (16-15)
