WASHOUGAL MX National – The one where the Van gets towed – Zak Williams Vlog

From Zack Williams on YouTube

Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Round 8 had its ups and downs. My mechanic and sponsor, Cody, were able to fly together for the first time ever to a national! My buddy Phillip Maas who is from Minnesota races the 450 class and was driving his sprinter van out to Washougal and was kind enough to add my bike in his van! Unfortunaly 2 miles from the track Phils van breaks down and has to get towed into the pits. Can’t honestly say that has ever happened, but the bikes got there, and we were still able to go racing Saturday. Qualifying went well again for me this weekend, where I ended up P24, and that has been a big relief for me. I have struggled so much with qualifying and to see my hard work during the week start to pay off with me getting in a fast time right away is a bonus. Really need to work on my starts. Having to charge from the back of the pack in a stacked 250 class is a lot of work and takes most of your energy. FIrst moto I charged up to 21st. The second moto little better of a started landed me in 25th, and I made my way up to 20th for another point on this weekend. I still have more in me and I am excited to take these next two weekends off to try out some changes with my suspension and really get comfortable and ready for the last rounds. My plan is to hit every round and find a way to get my bike out to PALA! If anyone can help a guy out or knows someone heading that way from the Midwest let me know lol. Stay tuned to see what we enjoy doing on the off weekends. Thanks again for everyone getting me to the races and supporting me. Shout out to Philip Maas for hauling my bike and everything he had to go through this weekend.
