From TPJ Racing
The very first Dallas Supercross was held in 1975; and though we have seen multiple venue changes over the years, one thing stands true…everything is bigger (and better) in Texas. This weeks Triple Crown race was hosted by the famous AT&T Stadium, home to the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. The track featured a long-left hand start followed by a massive rhythm section, dragons back, tunnel and much more; this track boasted an impressive fast lap time of 46.093 during the second 250SX race (by Nate Thrasher).
Both the 250SX and 450SX classes are stacked with talent and competition this year; the Triple Crown format magnifies that by only allowing the top 22 riders from each class to advance to the night show.
TPJ Racing team riders, Logan Boye #119, Brian “JR” Saunier #971 and Austin Cozaad #512 all gave their best efforts in qualifying and posted impressive lap times; but none of them could break the 50 second mark. We are looking forward to having the entire team back and ready to make the night show in Daytona this weekend.
Also, on hand this week was some of Texas’ top USMCA Coaches. The U.S. Motorcycle Coaching Association (USMCA) has a mission of growing the sport of motorcycling by providing qualified trainers for all age groups, riding styles and skill levels. Pictured here is our very own Ted Parks, Sean Hackley and other certified coaches. For more information about USMCA visit www.usmca.org.
