From MANLUK / ROCK RIVER / YAMAHA
Even amongst the challenging atmosphere of Colorado, the Manluk Rock River Racing team would find way(s) to excel while stationed at the Thunder Valley Motocross Park. With unique variables amid both altitude and soil composition, both athletes and crew members would be tested while striving to compete for the highest of results, on the some of the fastest machines amongst 250cc and 450cc classifications.
Rebounding from a serious crash last weekend at Hangtown, Grant Harlan would display resiliency from the moment practice began on Saturday; residing ninth prior to advancing into the moto’s that followed. Once here, Harlan’s ability to sprint and then sustain a top-tier pace would be recognized by all in attendance; as Grant persevered through a demanding circuit to clench eighth as the checkered flag was waved. For the follow-ing moto, Grant’s line-choice in the opening laps would be critical, following a near hole-shot over the rest of the 450cc field —which created a foundation of speed that was carried through the rest of the moto. He executed his laps with perfection during the latter stages of the race, which translated to an outstanding seventh-place standing being obtained, for eighth overall.
Luca Marsalisi flourished while racing in the hills of Colorado, as he sped forward with confidence during qualification to be listed in thirty-third prior to beginning the first moto of the afternoon. As the gate(s) then fell to begin the racing format, it was evident that Luca was well-prepared for the demands of the Thunder Valley circuit. Regardless of how challenging the terrain, or the amount of competition that pursued him, Marsalisi would ultimately prevail; which had him finalized in fifteenth as results were scored. This led to moto number two, where the Yamaha rider was excelling amongst the steepest downhills on the circuit; racing with fearlessness as he constantly battled for higher position. Eventually claiming eighteenth as the moto would end, he was deserving of tremendous applause while obtaining an overall position of fourteenth as well.
Florida’s Colton Eiganmann would continue to showcase elite speed in the 250cc classification, as he assembled countless practice laps on the Thunder Valley circuit that were paralleled with athletes at the top of the leaderboard. He would qualify directly for the main events thereafter with the twenty-eighth fastest lap-time, and sprinted into the first moto with superb confidence. He would flow throughout the first moto of the afternoon with expertise, navigating through difficult bumps and ruts alike to eventually obtain a first moto score of thirty-fifth prior to beginning the second round of action. Once there, Eiganmann again proved that he was an elite competitor aboard his Yamaha machine; and would propel forward to the finish line, to be scored twenty-sixth, for a remarkable twenty-ninth overall.
Bronson McClure looked forward to competing within his home state of Colorado, as the number 352 felt acclimated to the atmosphere of Thunder Valley and showcased renowned skill as he sprinted throughout qualification. His knowledge of the racetrack was unmatched, and he brought a sense of confidence into the main event(s) of the afternoon after qualifying twenty-sixth. His prowess on the Lakewood circuit was astounding, where he excelled through every segment of the course to obtain a finish of thirty-first prior to advancing to moto two. Though the track at that point was more demanding than ever, McClure still found ways to flourish amongst the deteriorated raceway; and as he persevered through the challenging layout, his eventual result of thirty-fourth would equate to a spectacular overall finish of thirty-second as well.
With the third round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship now completed, the Manluk Rock River Racing assembly is set to travel to High Point Raceway. The action in Pennsylvania is guaranteed to be of the highest level, and all involved within this Yamaha team are confident that they can obtain successful finishes for the fourth race of the outdoor series.
