TPJ Racing – Pro Motocross – Round 4

MT. MORRIS, PENNSYLVANIA | JUNE 17, 2023 | HIGH POINT

The Pro Motocross series has headed east to High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, PA.  This iconic track has hosted a Pro Motocross race every year since 1977 and its picturesque landscape sets the stage for one of the best spectating tracks on the circuit.

All five TPJ Racing team riders lined up for qualifying at High Point.  Brian “JR” Saunier chose to race even though a crash at round 1 has kept him sidelined most of the season.  He finished 14th in the consolation race, which he is happy with considering his pain levels.  He looks forward to a week off to heal up before Red Bud.

Logan Boye and Hunter Cross narrowly missed qualifying out of practice with a 41st and 49th place finish, respectively.  Neither rider got a good start in the short 4 lap consolation race, meaning they spent most of their time just trying to break into the top 30.  Logan hopes to make his first Moto’s at Red Bud, while Hunter looks to break the top 20 and gain some points.

In the 450MX class, team riders Romain Pape and Trevor Schmidt both had an incredible day of racing, each capturing new personal bests along the way.  Romain had his first top 10 Moto finish and moves into 12th place overall in the series standings.  Trevor Schmidt had a season best qualifying of 27th and gained his first ever Pro Motocross championship points in with a finish of 17|22 for 20th overall.

The first of two season breaks comes this weekend before racing heads to Michigan for RED BUD!

In their words:

Romain Pape“Once again a great day! A new heat top 10, two starts in top 10, gave it my all in both rounds! I can not ask for anything more.  It feels so good to get all the wraps done each weekend. 1/3 of the season gone, 12th overall well above my expectations! We’re not giving up on anything! See you at RedBud!”

Trevor Schmidt: “High Point was sickkk.  Super pumped on the day qualified 27th overall.  Moto 1 scored my first ever points with a 17th and moto 2 I finished 22nd.  P-20 overall!”
