MANLUK / ROCK RIVER / YAMAHA – RED BUD Race Report

From MANLUK / ROCK RIVER / YAMAHA

With the prestigious Red Bud National upon them, the team at Manluk Rock River Racing would be excited to perform in front of thousands of fans at the historic Michigan venue. With competitors in both, the 250cc and 450cc classes, the Yamaha assembly was destined to excel to top-tier finishes from the moment the green flag waved in Buchanan.

Continuously ascending throughout the 450MX classification, would be Luca Marsalisi. The rider from Connecticut had shown brilliant speed in the races prior, and proceeded to immediately engage onto the Michigan circuit with excellent momentum; to acquire twenty-fourth in qualification, prior to beginning the main events that followed. For moto number-one, Luca would begin around the twentieth-place position, and continuously fought for a higher standing amongst a stacked division of opponents. As the latter laps of the moto then came to fruition, it was the vision of Marsalisi that allowed him to find the fastest lines en route to the finish-line, where he obtained a notable result of seventeenth. But the competitive spirit of Marsalisi would rise to an even higher level for the following round of racing, where he began the moto in

thirteenth, and contended for positions inside the top-ten. He would flourish on every facet of the raceway, and undoubtedly showcased one of the strongest performances of his career — to obtain a spectacular eleventh at moto’s end, for fourteenth overall.

Florida’s Colton Eigenmann immediately established an extraordinary flow on the Red Bud circuit, where he sprinted to an overall qualifying time of thirtieth, prior to beginning the main event(s) of the afternoon. He showcased attrition through adversity in both moto’s, relentlessly seeking to advance on one of the world’s toughest courses. Regardless of the track’s condition, or the magnitude of the opponents around him, Eigenmann would race forward with fearlessness; which allowed him to gather a score of thirty-fourth in the second moto, for a well-respected overall of thirty-eighth as action concluded in Michigan.

Moving into the professional ranks for round five of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship, Illinois’ Keegan Rowley would instantly exhibit a sense of speed that was paralleled with the best racers from around the world. Rowley’s stance on the racetrack would showcase top-tier technique amongst uphills and downhills, excelling in every segment prior to beginning the Last Chance Qualifier. The four-lap sprint would be filled with tremendously talented riders, but Rowley’s fortitude was an attribute that was recognized by all in attendance. And as he crossed the checkered flag in a position of sixteenth.

Colorado’s Bronson McClure had proven in the current outdoor championship, that he had the capabilities of racing within the main event classifications. And his speed in Michigan was on a similar trajectory, as he swept through various corners with a mentality of aggression and determination, flying through the rollers with momentum that was applauded by those in the crowd. McClure’s skills then translated to the LCQ, where the number 352 would display extremely fast lap-times prior to encountering a bit of misfortune; which left a lasting impression on those in the industry, proving that McClure’s destined to be battling for points paying positions in main events on the horizon.
