The Gizmo Mods/Rock River/Yamaha team continued to establish themselves as a premier racing assembly on Saturday, competing at the highest level within the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship. As athletes of the Yamaha unit registered in both, the 250SX and 450SX divisions, each participant displayed exceptional effort en route to the checkered flag.
Grant Harlan’s expertise on the SX course was evident as the standout competitor soared through the Alabama circuit. He would qualify directly, for the Triple Crown sequence via strong lap-times in practice. From there, Harlan battled the best in the 450SX division, racing with superb skills as he crossed the finish line in each contest – to collect moto results of fifteenth, sixteenth, and eighteenth, for seventeenth overall.
Michigan’s Marshal Weltin was proficient as he sprinted through the circuit in various practice sessions, and as the green flag waved for the 450SX LCQ, Weltin’s talent immediately propelled him to the front of the pack. Throughout the six-lap contest, Marshal remained in single-digit territory – which translated to an eventual finish, of seventh on the results sheet.
TJ Albright put forth a phenomenal effort in qualifying, and carried immense confidence into the 450SX Last Chance Qualifier. Numerous, world-renowned athletes were alongside him – yet Albright rose to incredible heights as the moto came to a conclusion. In the end, the New York native was finalized in a well-respected standing of fourteenth.
The number ninety-seven of Bryce Shelly was determined to compete with the best in the 250SX division, and would do so as he advanced to the Last Chance Qualifier. The Triple Crown format was demanding, yet Shelly’s resilience when on the race-track was commendable – and in the end, his efforts equated to a notable tenth-place feat, within the six lap contest.
Jaxen Driskell was fearless when soaring throughout the Alabama circuit on Saturday. He completed every obstacle with tremendous technique, and raced into the 250SX LCQ with the utmost focus. As he flew through each lap of the contest, Driskell’s skills would heighten – and at the finish line, Jaxen’s final result, of thirteenth, would be an accolade to build from in the coming weeks of the series.
With the tenth round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship completed, the Gizmo Mods/Rock River/Yamaha team will travel to Seattle for the eleventh race of the 2025 series. The assembly of crew members and athletes are certain to continue ascending, seeking top-tier finishes while stationed in Washington, next Saturday.
