The Gizmo Mods/Rock River/Yamaha team displayed expertise throughout the East Rutherford SX event on Saturday, where they competed for incredible accolades within the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship. All members of the assembly were superb while racing within MetLife Stadium, and as the checkered flag waved, the Yamaha unit continued to establish themselves at the highest level of the sport.
The number forty-three of Grant Harlan displayed exceptional technique on the East Rutherford circuit for various practice sessions, and his momentum would translate to a finish of eleventh, in 450SX Heat One as well. The LCQ then came to fruition, and Harlan flourished within the intense racing format – earning a fourth-place result as athletes exited the raceway. For the finalé, Harlan competed alongside the best in the sport to earn a well-respected score of twenty-second, which he hopes to build from in the coming weeks.
Michigan’s Marshal Weltin presented an abundance of stellar skills on the New Jersey circuit, and after racing to a score of twelfth in 450SX Heat One, Weltin was determined to compete for higher positioning within the LCQ. He would do so, by displaying one-hundred percent effort from start-to-finish, to earn eleventh place at the finish line.
Pennsylvania’s Bryce Shelly was spectacular among practice laps, and after earning a remarkable tenth-place feat in 250SX Heat Two, Shelly advanced to the Last Chance Qualifier. Once there, Bryce was fierce from start-to-finish within the seven-lap contest – and he secured a fourth-place finish, as results were finalized. In the main event, Shelly’s talents were among the best in the division, and the Telford native ultimately accelerated past the checkered flag to collect a score of fourteenth overall.
Jaxen Driskell was proficient throughout each practice session, and his velocity aboard the Yamaha machine equated to a tremendous finish of sixteenth in 250SX Heat Two. His confidence continued to rise as the Last Chance Qualifier took place, and at the checkered flag, it was Driskell who charged to a notable eighth-place feat.
With competition in East Rutherford concluded, the Gizmo Mods/Rock River/Yamaha team will travel to Pittsburgh for an event on Saturday, April 26th. The atmosphere in Pennsylvania will be intense, but all members of this racing assembly are certain to generate success as the checkered flag waves in Acrisure Stadium.
