Round 7 – 2025 AMA Pro Motocross Championship | Spring Creek
The AEO Powersports KTM Racing Team entered Round 7 of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship at Spring Creek with strong momentum following standout performances at Red Bud. Building on that success, the team delivered another impressive showing, reflecting their continued hard work and dedication.
Qualifying
- Avery Long: 19th – 2:01.109
- Lux Turner: 23rd – 2:01.808
- CJ Benard: 26th – 2:03.080
Lux Turner
Moto 1: Lux got a solid jump off the gate and completed the opening lap in 16th. Midway through the race, he dropped back to 20th but remained focused on staying inside the top 20. On lap 7, he reclaimed 19th and continued to push forward, making a final pass for 18th with just two laps remaining.
Moto 2: Lux started strong, finding himself in 14th at the end of lap 1 and battling within the same group as teammate Avery Long. He maintained consistency and gradually advanced, moving into 13th with two laps to go and securing that position at the checkered flag.
Avery Long
Moto 1: After a mid-pack start despite a top-20 qualifying effort, Avery began lap 1 in 22nd. He steadily worked his way forward, reaching 16th by lap 8. With the field spread out, he pushed late in the moto to gain two more spots, finishing a strong 14th after a pass on the penultimate lap.
Moto 2: Avery didn’t get the best launch off the gate but quickly recovered, ending the first lap in 12th. He maintained his position in a tightly contested group just outside the top 10. By lap 10, he had moved into 12th once again and held that spot through to the finish, showcasing solid pace and racecraft.
CJ Benard
Moto 1: CJ faced a tough start, rounding the first lap in 27th. He focused on maintaining consistent lines and gradually made up ground, advancing to 25th by lap 8. With a strong push on the final lap, he gained one more spot to finish 24th.
Moto 2: CJ began mid-pack and ended the opening lap in 21st, closely tracking his teammates who were battling just ahead. He pushed up to 17th by lap 7, but lost two positions before the finish to come home 19th. Despite the setbacks, CJ continues to show steady improvement each time out.
Spring Creek saw the AEO Powersports KTM team put in gritty performances across both motos. With continued progress from all three riders, the team is on a strong upward trajectory heading into the next round of the series. Next Stop – We head to the Pacific Northwest for Round 8 at Washougal.
