Ryder qualified directly for the night show in P-25. In the second qualifying session, he experimented with a start from the far inside but quickly realized that position wouldn’t work for the Heat race after being pinched off.
A mid-pack start in the Heat race made it difficult to secure a top 9 transfer position. Although he pushed his limits, Ryder ultimately finished in 13th.
Going into the LCQ, our hopes for the main event remained high. Unfortunately, another mid-pack start put us in a difficult position. While Ryder was advancing, another rider T-boned him, causing a crash that broke our radiator and resulted in a badly twisted ankle for Ryder.
Next up is the East/West shootout in St. Louis, MO.
