A Breakthrough in the Making: ISRT Kawasaki at High Point

From ISRT Kawasaki

The ISRT Kawasaki team continued its climb through the highly competitive 450 class at Round 4 of the Pro Motocross
Championship at High Point Raceway, with Norway’s Cornelius Tøndel delivering his strongest performance of the
season.

After an 18th-place start in Moto 1, Tøndel put together an impressive charge through the field and quickly found himself
battling inside the top 10. The Norwegian went bar-to-bar for nearly 25 minutes with factory Ducati rider and former 450
Motocross Champion Dylan Ferrandis in one of the most exciting battles of the moto. Tøndel eventually lost the position
late in the race and was also passed by 2024 250SX Champion RJ Hampshire, crossing the finish line in 12th place for his
best moto finish of the season.

Moto 2 started even better. Despite beginning outside the top 20, Tøndel charged forward and worked his way into 9th place by the opening lap, showing the speed and confidence that has steadily improved each week. Unfortunately, disaster struck on lap three when Tøndel and Ferrandis came together over a small jump, sending both riders to the ground and ending their races prematurely.

On the other side of the truck, veteran rider Vince Friese faced a challenging day from the start. Several issues during qualifying, though he still secured 22nd on the gate heading into the motos. Despite the team’s efforts to resolve the problems, Friese and the crew were ultimately forced to call it a day just before the start of Moto 1.

While the results sheet won’t fully reflect the progress made this weekend, High Point showed another significant step forward for the ISRT Kawasaki program. Tøndel’s pace inside the top 10 demonstrates the team’s continued development against some of the sport’s best riders and factory-backed efforts. The disappointment of High Point has already turned into motivation. With an off weekend before the next round, the team won’t be taking much time off. The ISRT Kawasaki crew is already hard at work preparing for Round 5 at RedBud MX, determined to come back stronger and continue building momentum as the Pro Motocross season rolls on.

“As a private team, every step forward is earned. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, but we’re hungry for more. We’ll use the off weekend to regroup, improve, and be ready to fight again at RedBud.” – ISRT Kawasaki Team Owner, Bubba Pauli.
