Manluk/Rock River Yamaha Anaheim 2 Race Report

From Manluk/Rock River Yamaha

With the championship returning to Angel Stadium, the Manluk Rock River Racing team knew that they could once again generate success while stationed in Anaheim, California. Their effort(s) in the days prior to the event were astounding, creating an environment that was certain for success as competition came to fruition on Saturday. And both Benny Bloss, along with Grant Harlan, were poised to display spectacular speed from the moment qualification began.

The number forty-four of Benny Bloss would sprint into a series of practice laps, with emphasis on generating a time that was within the top-eighteen. Though the track was deteriorating rather quickly, the Missouri native would find a rhythm that had to be acknowledged by all in the 450cc divi sion; as he was finalized in fifteenth prior to beginning the first (of three) main events. The Triple Crown format was extremely challenging for all who qualified, yet Bloss displayed resiliency from the opening green flag, to the final checkered. Competing amid the pinnacle of the sport, Bloss’ assembly of finishes would propel him to a notable eighteenth overall; with a highlighted score of fifteenth being obtained in the second round of action. And Benny is certain to continue moving forward, in the rounds that are on the horizon.

Grant Harlan would thrive throughout all qualification sessions, showcasing his talent, along with the true capabilities that this Yamaha motorcycle possessed. On the cusp of the top twenty, Harlan battled for a hard-fought overall standing of twenty-second; which positioned him in the LCQ, where he unleashed one-hundred percent effort as soon as the gate(s) fell. Navigating through difficult rhythm lanes while carrying significant corner speed, all sections of the racetrack would be conquered with confidence by the number seventy-eight machine; and despite encountering a bit of trouble prior to the race concluding, Harlan’s mentality would certainly shift forward to races in the coming weeks where he’s destined to excel at the highest level.

As the series now moves on to Houston, Texas, the Manluk Rock River Racing crew is certain to be challenging for top-tier results while residing at NRG Stadium. Their momentum is evident, and will proceed to ascend through each round of the championship; where their Yamaha assembly is certain to be battling amongst the front of the field.
