As the 2023 Monster Energy Supercross series arrived in Nashville, the Manluk Rock River Racing team knew that their preparation in previous weeks would be displayed with successful results while racing within round fifteen of the current championship. With their athletes continuing to compete at the highest levels, all within the Yamaha assembly were eager for action to begin on Saturday.
Missouri’s Benny Bloss was extraordinary during qualification, as he instantly adapted to the racing surface(s) of Nashville just as he’d done in weeks prior. The Yamaha rider would speed to a remarkable position of ninth prior to beginning heat race(s) that followed, where he then immediately engaged in distinguished maneuvering aboard his number forty-four machine. However an unfortunate crash as racers exited the first turn, would have Benny forced off the racetrack; where he subsequently obtained an injury and was forced out of the rest of the program. With no immediate timetable in place for a specific return, all in the industry are hopeful that Bloss can compete again at full strength in the near future.
Consistently competing at the top of the field throughout the 2023 Supercross season, Grant Harlan would do much the same while stationed in Tennessee; where the number seventy-eight was resilient through various time(d) trials to be categorized in sixteenth prior to heading to the heat race(s) that followed. As the green flag then waved for heat one, Harlan’s versatility would flourish; as he worked his way through the course amid intense competition, to eventually reside sixth before transferring to the main event of the afternoon program. As the gates then fell for the final segment of action, Harlan’s speed would be applauded and recognized by all in attendance. He refused to display anything less than one-hundred percent effort, engaging in a phenomenal pace amongst a competitive roster of opposition; prior to undergoing a crash and being helped off the race course by medical staff. He too would be placed on Injured Reserve following the program in Nashville, but enthusiasts of the sport are anticipating a spectacular return once Harlan is cleared for competition in the coming months.
With racing in Nashville now concluded, the Manluk Rock River Racing Team now focuses on round sixteen of the 2023 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series, which will take place in Denver, Colorado. Both athletes and crew members will be ready for action at Empower Field, with their readiness certain to be displayed from the moment racing begins.
