With resiliency, the team at Manluk Rock River Racing would travel to Denver, Colorado knowing that they had withstood a multitude of variables that were thrown their way. Various athletes on the team, including both Benny Bloss and Grant Harlan, had sustained injuries while racing in Nashville last weekend. And with the number forty-four being forced out of competition for round sixteen of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, the determination of Texas’ Grant Harlan to fight through adversity would leave him as the lone Yamaha competitor for racing action at Empower Field.
The number seventy-eight machine would display tenacity that was applauded by all in the crowd for qualification, where a series of strong laps were gathered en route to a stellar fourteenth-position being claimed on the overall leaderboard. His toughness was remarkable, as he then proceeded to engage in countless battles amid action for heat one; where his overall
residency of sixth, was superb given the intensity of this ten-lap format. However, it was in the main event where Harlan’s world-renowned skillset would arguably claim the strongest accolade of his professional racing career thus far; where the Yamaha rider was in contention for a top-ten overall, from the moment the green flag would wave.
Throughout the laps that followed, Grant’s competitive spirit couldn’t be denied; as he constantly strove for higher standing, prior to the final lap concluding. And as the dust settled for racing matters in Denver, it was Harlan who earned a tremendous ninth place overall finish, in the premier division of Supercross Racing. With the final round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship now on the horizon, all members of the Manluk Rock River Racing Yamaha team are eager to finish the current series with a strong showing in Salt Lake City.
Their efforts have rivaled countless other top-tier teams in the industry from the opening round in Anaheim, and are certain to be on display once more, while stationed in Utah next week.
