Gizmo Mods – Rock River Yamaha – Pittsburgh – 2025

The Gizmo Mods/Rock River/Yamaha team would compete in Pittsburgh on Saturday. Each member and athlete of the racing unit was superb while stationed in Pennsylvania, and as the checkered flag was waved at Acrisure Stadium, the premier assembly would once again prove that it was among the best within the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship.

Grant Harlan’s lap-times throughout practice were commendable, and he continued to excel as 450SX Heat Two came to fruition. Grant displayed the utmost effort from start-to-finish, to acquire tenth, before moving forward to the Last Chance Qualifier. Within the eight-lap contest, Harlan soared to fourth-place at the checkered flag which propelled him to the main event. Once into the finalé, Harlan’s skillset on the motorcycle was undeniable – and his superb traits aboard the Yamaha machine equated to eighteenth at the finish line.

Michigan’s Marshal Weltin was proficient throughout practice sessions and raced into the opening 450SX heat race with unwavering ambition. He was precise while navigating through the pack, and his optimal line choices eventually led to an eleventh place finish being obtained. In the LCQ that followed, Weltin competed with relentless aggression – earning a notable sixth place feat, as action concluded.

The number ninety-seven of Bryce Shelly was extraordinary throughout the day. Following an impressive practice effort, Shelly would overcome a bit of adversity in the opening 250SX Heat race to earn a final standing of eighteenth. From there, Bryce was determined to perform at a high level – and charged through the field to earn third, in the 250SX LCQ. In the main event, the Yamaha athlete excelled within his home state – battling through the pack, to score a tenth-place feat at the checkered flag.

Jaxen Driskell carved across the Pittsburgh circuit with a remarkable flow throughout practice and his momentum was sustained through the second 250SX heat race as well. Despite encountering a bit of misfortune, Jaxen’s lap-times were paralleled to those at the front of the division – and he eventually collected a score of eighteenth, before moving into the Last Chance Qualifier. As the LCQ took place, Jaxen’s race-craft was among the best in the category – which translated to a concluding result of thirteenth, at the checkered flag.

With competition in Pittsburgh concluded, the Gizmo Mods/Rock River/Yamaha team is set to travel to Denver, for next Saturday’s event. The atmosphere in Colorado will be intense, but all within this racing unit will thrive as action takes place for round sixteen of the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series.
