Round 6 of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship brought the series to the Pacific Northwest and iconic Lumen Field for a demanding night of racing. As the West Coast swing nears its conclusion, the focus for the AEO Powersports KTM Racing Team was clear, survive the technical conditions and leave Seattle healthy.
Qualifying:
Carson Mumford: 13th – 52.605
Avery Long: 20th – 53.237
Kyle Wise: 18th – 53.134
Carson Mumford
Carson Mumford lined up in Heat Race 2 and got off to a solid start, completing Lap 1 in sixth. Wasting no time, he made an early move into fifth on Lap 2 and maintained a strong pace through the middle portion of the race. With two laps remaining, Mumford turned up the intensity, executing decisive passes to claim third and secure a strong transfer into the Main Event.
In the Main Event, Mumford found himself just outside the top ten off the start, crossing Lap 1 in 16th. Undeterred, he immediately went to work. By Lap 2, he had moved into 13th and continued his forward momentum throughout the race. On Lap 11, he broke into the top ten and held steady through the checkered flag, finishing 10th. His six-position gain earned him second in the Hard Charger standings for the night, highlighting his determination and race craft on one of the toughest tracks of the season.
Avery Long
Avery Long also competed in Heat Race 1, running sixth on the opening lap and moving into fifth by Lap 5. Unfortunately, a mid-race crash set him back to 11th just outside a transfer position. He managed to gain one spot but narrowly missed direct qualification to the Main Event.
In the LCQ, Long demonstrated significant growth and composure, grabbing the holeshot and leading every lap of the race. His commanding ride secured the LCQ win and a transfer into the Main Event.
Once the gate dropped for the Main, Long found himself in 13th on Lap 1. Battling in the highly competitive midfield, he advanced to 11th before slipping back to 12th and eventually settling into 13th by Lap 7. He maintained his position to the finish, capping off a resilient night with valuable championship points.
Kyle Wise
Kyle Wise lined up in Heat 1 and crossed the line eighth on Lap 1. After briefly dropping to ninth, Wise showed promising pace in the technical conditions. A late shuffle in positions placed him 11th on Lap 9, and after briefly falling to 12th, he fought back to finish 11th.
In the LCQ, Wise started strong, running third on the opening lap. Unfortunately, contact with another rider in a turn resulted in a crash that ended his night early. While the outcome was not what the team hoped for, Wise displayed flashes of speed and determination throughout the evening.
Despite the punishing track conditions in Seattle, the AEO Powersports KTM Racing Team demonstrated resilience and perseverance at Round 6. With the West Coast swing going into a break, the team now looks ahead focused on training, starts, and technique during the break.
