From ISRT Kawasaki
Round 8 of the 2026 Pro Motocross Championship brought the series to the legendary Washougal MX Park, where ISRT Kawasaki welcomed back veteran Vince Friese while Mark Fineis took on one of the sport’s most technical circuits.
Friese made his return to racing after several weeks away and immediately showed the experience that has defined his career. Charging into the top 10 early in Moto 1, he rode with confidence and consistency before ultimately securing a 17th overall finish. His performance was an encouraging step forward as he continues to build momentum heading into the second half of the championship.
For Fineis, the day was defined by adversity. Two crashes in the opening laps of Moto 1 ended his race prematurely, leaving him with a poor gate selection for Moto 2. Despite the setback, he charged through the field from the back of the pack and worked his way toward the top 15 before suffering the first of two late-race crashes. The second incident forced him to pull off the track early, ending what had been an impressive comeback ride.
The past several weeks have tested ISRT Kawasaki in every way imaginable. Rider changes, injuries, and unexpected challenges have been enough to sideline many organizations, but the ISRT team has remained committed to its core values of faith, hard work, and perseverance. Through every obstacle, the team has continued to prove that the underdog can line up and compete with the best in the world.
With the series now entering its two-week break, the ISRT crew and athletes will return to work with renewed focus as they prepare for the final six rounds of the 2026 Supermotocross World Championship. Despite the setbacks, the belief inside the ISRT camp has never been stronger. The mission remains the same: keep building, keep fighting, and continue proving that with faith, determination, and relentless work ethic, the underdog belongs at the front.
