Friese Defies Odds for Top-20 Championship Finish
Following a hard crash last week, Vince Friese put on a masterclass in determination. Forced into the high- pressure Wild Card race, Friese executed a flawless start to claim the holeshot and transfer easily. His gritty performance in the main events secured his place inside the coveted Top 20 overall in the final championship standings.
Tøndel Showcases Elite Pace Despite Start-Line Misfortune
Cornelius Tøndel arrived hungry to rebound, instantly proving his speed by topping the qualifying charts multiple times. Misfortune struck early in the Wild Card race when a second turn crash relegated him to the back of the pack. Tøndel launched an aggressive charge through the field during the short 5-lap sprint, ultimately missing a direct transfer by just two positions.
A Privateer Powerhouse: 9 Years and Counting
The finale concludes a grueling 31-round national calendar for the independent ISRT program. Regularly competing against factory operations with vastly superior budgets, ISRT proves that a dedicated group with a shared goal and an unyielding work ethic can disrupt the status quo at the sport’s highest level.
Reflecting on a season-best 5th place finish in the premier class, Team Owner Bubba Pauli emphasized that the program is just getting started. “A top-five finish against the best in the world is a monumental achievement for our team, but that is just the tip of the iceberg, ” said Pauli. “We are already hungry for more. “
