Round 11 – Pro Motocross Championship
Budds Creek MX | Mechanicsville, MD
Qualifying
Both Max Miller and Logan Leitzel came into the final round hungry to finish strong.
Early sessions showed promise, but as the track evolved and became more challenging, the pair settled
slightly below their qualifying marks from the previous round:
Max Miller: Qualified P25
Logan Leitzel: Qualified P37, sending him to the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ)
LCQ Heroics – Logan Leitzel
Leitzel responded to the pressure in a big way—grabbing the holeshot and leading the LCQ from start to
finish.
The effort secured him a gate for the motos and marked his first-ever LCQ win—a major milestone for the
young rider.
Moto 1
Max Miller stormed out of the gate with a career-best start, battling inside the top 10 (P10) for the first
half of the race. Unfortunately, a small crash mid-moto dropped him several positions. A second, more costly mistake on the final lap shuffled him near the back of the pack—an unfortunate turn after such a promising start. Logan Leitzel pushed through both motos with consistent effort, showing signs of improvement over his previous round’s performance.
Moto 2
Miller came back determined, putting together a strong and steady ride. He finished P21, securing his third points-paying finish of the season—an impressive feat in a stacked 450 class field. Leitzel again rode with heart and aggression, finishing just outside his season-best but ending the year on a positive trajectory.
Final Thoughts from the Team
Despite challenges and setbacks throughout the season, ISRT Kawasaki walks away from Budds Creek proud
of the growth shown by both riders: Max Miller demonstrated speed, grit, and progression—particularly in his starts and mid-race pace.
Logan Leitzel capped off his rookie campaign with a standout LCQ win and clear signs of competitive
improvement.
“Both guys fought hard this weekend. To end the season showing grit, determination, and real progress is
exactly what we strive for as a team.” — ISRT Kawasaki Team Statement
