From ISRT Kawasaki
Round 7 of the Pro Motocross Championship brought significant changes to the ISRT Kawasaki program as the team welcomed a new athlete midway through the championship. Bringing a new rider on board during the season is never easy, but through strategic moves, hard work, and a lot of preparation, ISRT and Mark Fineis made it happen.
Fineis, who previously competed on a Honda, made the switch to the Kawasaki platform and immediately showed that both he and the ISRT machine were ready to compete with some of the best riders in the sport.
After qualifying 23rd, Fineis was determined to make significant improvements when the gate dropped. In Moto 1, the Indiana native sliced his way through the field and worked his way into eighth place, where he would run for 25 of the 30-minute race. After losing a few positions late to former champions, Fineis would ultimately finish 11th.
Moto 2 got off to a strong start, with Fineis entering the first turn inside the top 10. Unfortunately, he went down with another rider before reaching the holeshot line, rejoining the race in 39th position.
Showing impressive speed and determination, Fineis passed 20 riders before a hard crash with four laps remaining ended his day.
Fineis escaped the crash without major injury and is already back to work preparing for the next round with the team.
With the addition of Fineis and the continued development of its Kawasaki platform, ISRT Kawasaki is excited about the future and determined to establish itself as a front-running program throughout the remainder of the championship.
