One of the goals of this website is to provide resources for the privateer racer. Financial, insurance, marketing, etc. We provide the introduction and you decide if you want to learn more or use the resource.
Below is some information from Mike Daniele. Mike is a former racer and is working closely with ATVMX pro racer Nick Gennusa to help with a new project. Below is a letter he provided introducing the Safe to Race Program as well as some additional information. If you think you might be interested or want to know more about it, reach out to Mike at the email or phone number below.
My name is Mike and as a present-day rider and former racer, I have been involved in motocross for the last eleven years. Despite my best efforts, I realized that my true talents were off the racetrack where I could have a positive impact on the sport. Everyone knows the risks associated with riding and even more specifically racing. With the power of social media, you see more and more riders, like yourself, using crowd-based funding sites to help manage the medical and care expenses following a horrific injury. When I joined Integrated Financial Concepts, I was given the opportunity to create a financial offering that would protect the rider in the event of injury, and so Safe to Race was born.
The risk will always be there when it comes to riding and racing, but crowdfunding is no longer the only option available to you to defray these costs. Integrated Financial Concepts Safe to Race Program, through their partnership with The National Life Group, uses their life insurance policies (Term and Permanent) to protect riders and families in the event of an accident using a feature called living benefits. A certain percent of the face amount of these life insurance policies can be used to cover the cost of care and medical expenses if you are injured. In a
nutshell, it is life insurance that you do not have to pass away to use, it gives you the peace of mind on the track that you will be taken care of no matter what.
